This is an instant & low-cal snack, & also included in the chatpata category of North Indian
"street food". This can be done in less than 5 mins, i.e., if you keep corriander-mint chutney & the sweet tamarind chutney handy (I generally have both of them, if not freshly made, then the bottled variety available in the superstores!!). If not, you can add the time taken to make the chutney's.

Ing -
250 gms - Murmure / rice puffs
1/4 cup - corriander-mint chutney
1/4 cup - sweet tamarind chutney
2 onions - finely chopped
1 bunch corriander - cleaned & chopped
4/5 green chillies - the more the chillies the merrier the chaat is !!
4/5 - paapri
1 tsp - powdered sugar
juice of one lemon
peanuts fried or toasted in the oven
Method -
In a bowl mix the murmure, peanuts, onion, corriander & green chillies & also the powdered sugar.
Crush the paapri with your hands & put into the bowl with other ingredients.
Add the chutneys & the lemon juice & mix well.
Garnish with corriander & some more onions & also some sev bhujia (if avlbl)
Just wanted to add, that you can include any type of market brought namkeen. I always add Haldiram's Khatta Meetha to the bhelpuri & it goes well & I dont have to add the powdered sugar too. Even cornflakes can be added..
Let me know if you want the recipe for the chutneys. I'll be more than happy to post them too.
